A Serene Studio in the Heart of Laconia
When the stars align, magic happens—and this brand session for Yoga from the Heart was exactly that.
Melissa, the owner of Yoga from the Heart, reached out to me earlier this year after searching online for a brand and business photographer. From the very beginning, we connected. She had recently taken over the studio in downtown Laconia and was ready to give her space—and her online presence—a fresh, authentic update.
One of my personal goals for 2025 was to photograph a yoga studio. I’ve always been drawn to the calm, grounding energy of yoga spaces, and I knew it would challenge and inspire me creatively. So when Melissa reached out, it felt like the perfect fit.
Yoga from the Heart is more than just a yoga studio—it’s a space where people of all levels are welcomed, supported, and seen. Melissa brings a unique and inclusive approach to teaching that radiates throughout the space. Her goal is simple yet powerful: to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for every single body and experience level.
Since taking ownership, she’s made thoughtful renovations and upgrades to the studio. The result? A bright, calming, and minimalistic space full of natural textures, neutral tones, and soft light that reflects the warmth of Melissa herself. It's serene, it’s grounded, and it’s deeply inviting.
Like many small business owners, Melissa was hesitant about being in front of the camera. But she understood just how important it is to show up confidently online as the face of her brand. And I’m so glad she did.

This session reminded me why I love what I do so much. It's not just about photos. It’s about connecting with passionate business owners, helping them tell their story, and capturing the essence of what they’ve built.
